Kids’ Super Day and the Covid Pandemic Cannot Stop Our Assemblies
5. 10. 2020
Although the Covid-19 pandemic continues to complicate our everyday lives here in ELDIS we do our best to fulfill the obligations we have towards our business partners, customers and workers.
Kids’ Super Day
On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Pardubice’s horse race track hosted KIDS’ SUPER DAY WITH ELDIS. All day our stand swarmed with children eager to put puzzles together, to work on coloring books and make it through an inflatable obstacle course. Visitors were welcomed with a rich program, including a stage performance of Michal Nesvadba who is well-known for his Magic Kindergarten children’s show, an animation program with a fashion show designed for both young and grown-up princesses, competitions featuring L.O.L. Surprise, the magician David Kopecký and much more. Afterwards, everybody had a great time at various competition stands as well as outside them where kids could choose from numerous non-competitive activities.
Assemblies of Our Radars Abroad
In September, we continued to install our radar systems in Bulgaria, China and Malaysia. We faced problems caused by the covid-19 quarantine measures as well as bad accessibility of our target destinations by cancelled flights, etc. Despite all these obstacles, installation works were carried out as planned and installation teams showed an excellent performance.
NATO Days in Ostrava
NATO Days Ostrava and Czech Air Force Days are the biggest security forces show in Europe. The motto of this event is: “Our safety cannot be taken for granted and and there is no prosperity without security”. Therefore the event’s aim is to present the wide spectrum of the resources and the capabilities of the Czech Republic and its allies in the field of security provision to the general public. ELDIS regularly participates in this event together with the Czechoslovak Group. Due to the COVID-19 circumstances, this year’s show could not be attended by the public, which made us sad.
ELDIS Employees’ Remuneration
September was no exception to our tradition to provide special remuneration to our employees who celebrate special birthdays or long years of employment with our company. Our business has also been hit by the global economic crisis caused by COVID-19. It is much harder to achieve set goals now and sometimes it is utterly impossible. In spite of these difficult circumstances ELDIS has not dismissed its employees and it is not going to. On the contrary, notwithstanding all problems, our company has hired new people. We are well aware of the fact that our success depends on the people who work for us. Furthermore, the company did not reduce its employees’ pay checks. However, performance-based bonuses were not paid out for three months. Our workers will get these bonuses retrospectively as a part of their September pay checks.
