PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RL-2000/L is latest generation of ELDIS primary surveillance radars for En-Route Airspace and Major Terminal Areas. The radar meets or exceeds ICAO and EUROCONTROL recommendations and standards. The RL-2000/L features fully solid-state highly modular configuration, fail-safe system and low life cycle cost. This radar provides enhanced system stability and powerful clutter suppression to allow no false reports while maintaining excellent target detection up to 240 NM. Basic RL-2000/L configuration can be extended by monopulse surveillance secondary radar MSSR-1. The system configuration includes operational and standby channels with automatic switchover processed by system Level.

Antenna System
The antenna system is shaping double coverage cosec2 illumination pattern. The antenna system can operate in linear or circular polarization, which is adjustable via radar control and monitoring system, to rapidly improve weather clutter rejection.

Transmitter
The transmitter is a modular air-cooled solidstate system. The transmitter is operating in full frequency range with frequency diversity for short pulse and long pulse transmission. The transmitter unit has output power 45kW. The transmitter ensures minimum detection range of 240NM.

RF Generator
RF generator is digital waveform synthesizer, which provides optimum number of short and long pulses over coverage period. Short pulse and long pulse waveforms are generated fully digitally. Pulse repetition interval is changed by two up to four bursts per dwell to minimize blind speed losses.

Receiver
Receiver is based on superheterodyne type with double frequency down conversion. The high dynamic range is achieved by direct IF A/D conversion. The receiver includes automatic digital gain control and gain calibration. The receiver BITE diagnostics measures on-line receiver performance parameters, including noise figure.

Signal processor
The signal processor is based on 64-bit processors with high computing performance. Adaptive CFAR filtering includes scan to scan evaluation and weather mapping. Extraction process involves amplitude filtering of target coordinates and their accuracy improvement of echo amplitude and doppler speed information for range/azimuth target coordinates evaluation with high accuracy and resolution capability.

Control and Monitoring System
Each system equipment or unit is fitted with independent BITE diagnostics to carry out performance monitoring and automatic system backup changeover at system level. LCMS is located on radar site, RCMS can be located in remote technical room in Control tower (TWR), etc. The CMS continuously monitors radar status and performance and allows the authorized personnel to control and adjust radar configuration and parameters remotely. CMS incorporates a user-friendly graphical interface which is used for data and status presentation.
