ELDIS Pardubice company was successful in the tender among international competition. The supply includes 13 air traffic control radar systems – 8 secondary radars MSSR-1, 2 primary radars RL-2000 and 3 collocated radars RL-20001/MSSR-1. The radars will be delivered, for example, in northeast China Changchun and Qingdao, then in the south in the cities of Changsha and Guilin and also in the Midwest in Chengdu and Kunming. Besides the supply of the equipment, the company will also train the operators and ensure other services.
China has thus become one of the most important customers of ELDIS Pardubice, which has during 27 years of experience delivered the radar technology to more than 25 countries worldwide. “Due to its significance, the success of the project is one of the largest achievements of Czech aviation in China,” informed Mr. Lukáš Opatrný, Head of Economic Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing.
The success in the tender was preceded by the long-term involvement of ELDIS Pardubice in the Chinese market. In 2010, we launched the demanding process of certification of surveillance radars for China, which we successfully completed in 2016.
“This contract will be fulfilled by 2020 and we believe that its successful delivery can help us with further opportunities in the Chinese market,” informed Andrej Čírtek, spokesperson of ELDIS Pardubice.
